🌸 CHERMISHADE: Chermibear's ReShade Preset 🌸
I’m finally releasing my reshade preset for everyone! It’s my first time sharing a preset so it took me a while to get everything in order. Thank you so much for your patience!
This reshade should work well with ReShade 4.9.1 and above.
Shaders and effects used in this preset
qUINT_mxao (shift+3) || MXAO (shift+3) || qUINT_dof (shift+4) ||
FXAA || SMAA || LumaSharpen || Vibrance || Clarity || DPX || Tint (Sepia) || Levels || DepthHaze || RadiantGI
Notes
Remember to disable edge smoothing in-game.
For the reshade to work well with MXAO, make sure RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED is set to 0 in the global preprocessor definitions drop-down. This will make the start menu and world map screens blurry for some reason. I usually ignore it since I pop into live mode or CAS mode really quickly.
In the event that you want to use this reshade properly with the start menu and world map screens, you can turn off all the MXAO shaders by pressing shift+3, and changing RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED in the global preprocessor definitions drop-down to 1 again. I switch between the two depending on my needs for my game.

This reshade preset was originally Kindlespice’s Dove 2.0. I had since tweaked all the settings so much that I don’t think it’s really the same reshade anymore. But in any case, I still want to give credit to the preset that made this one possible.
I know quite little about properly creating reshade presets so this preset might be unnecessarily heavy, or there might be some parts of it that is finnicky or weird to other users. If you need extra help, feel free to reach out to me and I’ll do my best to help you out!
This reshade should work well in The Sims 4 on its own. I don’t use any other lighting mods in my game. The only thing I do have is Picture Amoebae’s SHADOWS FOR DAYS visual mod to fix a weird glitch that might occur when in tab mode. I do recommend getting this mod as well if you’re going to be taking lots of pictures in your game.
How to install Chermishade?
Download and place the file (chermishade.ini) attached to this post in the Bin folder of your TS4 game.
